An Introduction to the Planning Program
Welcome to the University of Arizona Planning Program
If you are interested in the profession of Planning I hope you will investigate the MS in Planning Program here at the University of Arizona. Our program is fully accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board offering you a range of concentrations that you prepare you for the world of work in a growing and very important profession.
The Planning Program is located in the School of Landscape Architecture and Planning. The bringing together of these two professions presents exciting opportunities for us as we build on the traditional strengths of the Planning Program along with new opportunities in the college . By taking advantage of the design and landscape planning curriculum and our location in the College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, we have introduced a design-based planning concentration along with highly regarded international/borderlands planning, environmental/healthy cities planning, and land use/community development.
You can:
• Concentrate in the new interdisciplinary concentration in GeoDesign and Regional Planning is in an emerging area that offers you an opportunity to study the most current approach combining design and planning with digital technologies.
• Pursue a dual MS in Planning and MBA degree through our cooperation with the nationally ranked Eller School of Management.
• Receive an interdisciplinary certificate in Heritage Conservation.
• Use of outstanding materials labs for model-making.
• Have complete access to our up-to-date computer facilities.
• Have close contact with faculty and students in our modern bright studios.
